Beschermkap voor een hogedrukpomp van een 2.0 TFSI motor.

Veel voorkomend probleem is dat de High Pressure Fuel Pump (oftewel HPFP) vaak kapot gaat door het resoneren van de afdekplaat van de motor.
De afdekplaat van de 2.0 TSFI motor resoneert tegen de pomp waardoor de sensor van de pomp vaak scheurt en vervolgens afbreekt.
Dit resulteert in klachten als;
het slecht lopen van de motor, vermogensverlies, afslaan van de motor en tot het niet meer kunnen starten van de motor.

De sensor van de HPFP is niet afzonderlijk te vervangen waardoor bij een defecte sensor altijd een nieuwe hogedruk brandstofpomp gemonteerd moet worden.
De HPFP is een gevoelig en zeer kostbaar product. Het vervangen van een hogedruk brandstofpomp gaat vaak richting een aantal honderd euro.

De oplossing van Celtemp Engineering voor dit probleem is een beschermkap die ruimte behoudt tussen de afdekplaat van de 2.0 TFSI motor en de HPFP.
De beschermkap zorgt ervoor dat de sensor van de HPFP ten alle tijden beschermd wordt van het resoneren van de afdekplaat.
Ook biedt de beschermkap design en bescherming aan de sensor voor auto’s waar de afdekplaat van is verwijderd.

In sommige gevallen moeten de plastic houders die in de rubbers van de afdekplaat vallen in een hogere positie worden geschroefd.

HPFP Protection Shield 2.0 TFSI RED

A defect sensor of the high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) is a common problem on the 2.0 TFSI engine.
It often cracks and eventually breaks down due to the resonating of the engine cover plate against the sensor on top of the HPFP.
This could result in symptoms such as: The poor running of the engine, power loss, stalling and even unable to start the engine.

The sensor of the high pressure fuel pump cannot be replaced separately. The sensor of the HPFP is locked and calibrated on to the pump itself. The HPFP always needs to be replaced completely for a new pump in case the sensor breaks down.
The HPFP is a sensitive and very expensive product. The replacement of a HPFP due to a damaged sensor costs hundreds of euros.

Celtemp Engineering’s solution to this problem is a protection shield that preserves space between the sensor and the engine cover of the 2.0 TFSI engine and the HPFP.
The protective cover ensures that the sensor of the HPFP is guarded from the resonating of the engine cover plate.
The Celtemp Engineering protection shield also provides design and protection for cars where the engine cover plate is removed from.

In some cases the plastic mounts that falls in the rubbers of the engine cover needs to be adjusted in to a higher position.
